Only she is capable and intelligent enough to mend a father and daughter separation. She leads such a perfect life experiencing good fortune throughout this book too. Easily selling her home finding a father's daughter and devising the perfect solution to reunite father and daughter. Things always workout for her and she never makes bad decisions.Story also devotes large passages serving Asa descriptive tour of Athens and the islands in the story. All events and characters are almost totally dependent or receive Ella's guidance and assistance. It's more of a fairy tale type story weak on real life..

This cook book covers all Christian feast days and the seasons such as Advent and Lent. There are also feast days you may not recognize if you only celebrate Christmas and Easter. It's a good read for the explanation of the holidays and chock full of recipes for them!!
A feel good story that continues our heroine's adventure in Greece. She continues to unite family and friends and finds love for herself. At times the book reads like a travel diary.
This is not your 'run of the mill' recipe book. The insights on special celebrations and pairings with culinary delights are very interesting. Many of the celebrations I had personally not been aware of or, in some cases, had heard the name but didn't know the 'back story'.
The recipes are easy to understand and, unlike some others I have read in the past, have clear instructions for preparations.
There are simple recipes and some a bit more intricate that will interest the more adventurous. The variety is wonderful!
My mouth was watering just reading about most of these dishes !
This is written with mostly U.K. units of measurements. I live in the U.S but this was not a problem. I Googled and found a site that .gave a conversion chart and culinary dictionary with hints and tips. (U.S. vs. Metric vs. Imperial (U.K.) Measures) I am sure there are many more that may even be better.

I have now read quite a few publications by this talented author.
Her cookery book was quite different - with a myriad of different recipes which all look incredibly tasty and I cannot wait to try a few. I particularly drooled over the vegetable souffle.
The recipes are great and the only reason I've given this four not five stars is for two reasons..
I would love to see version two of this contain some pictures - as with recipe books it helps envision the meal, and secondly if the recipes could be ordered by meal type (i.e. desserts)...
Having said that I will certainly keep it on hand for dinner parties!
A story rich in detail and culture. Ella's quest was informative and exciting. Searching for and then finding her father had a feel-good happy ending. In the 2nd story Ella and her new friends love and work lives intertwine for an interesting story. The island and cities were very believable although many were made up. The formatting was a bit off for me. The style and spacing switching without cause disrupted my reading some. Overall a good happily ever after book.
I was curious when I saw this title, written by the author of a rather good fiction book. In this very accomplished cook book there are references to Christian holidays and celebrations, which are a nice hook. The recipes are however not all of Christian tradition as I had assumed from the title. They are rather suitable for Christians and apt for the type of celebrations involved. Onion Bhajis are delicious, yet were a surprise in the context for this reader. The book and its recipes needn't to be limited to a Christian household; it would be a waste. The book offers a great selection of dishes for celebrations, easy to follow and definitely an enrichment for my selection of cookery books. The descriptions of the lesser known Christian festivals were delightful and endearing.
A great read for your holiday! I enjoyed Sun, Sea and Secrets Sun Book 1 and this 2nd one doesn't disappoint. It was good to meet up again with the characters I came to know. The author has done well with all the secondary characters and I liked her portrayal of Demi.
There is a lot of site seeing and eating out but if you are holidaying in Greece these two books will be a great guide! It was a little too much for me as I wanted to get straight into the story.
Return to Aegos can be read as a standalone as Panayi is gifted enough to have woven in the backstory from Book 1 without being repetitive but you are missing a great so I would advise you read both.
I can't give any spoilers away but I look forward to Sun Book 3.
